Poland & Baltics
Sometimes friends are my destination. In this journey: Katri and Maisa from Finland. I loved cycling from Warshau to the east of Poland and up to the Baltic states. In the Baltics I was following Nemunas river, yet sometimes the tracks were too sandy for my bike, needing to go to bigger roads, which was not so nice. Best thing about the trip: I enjoyed tremendously camping in the woods. Also I had really nice encounters with people.
In Pärnu, Estonia I met a new friend, the former rock guitar player Toomas Taul, who put me up for the night. I am still in contact with him and wrote about our friendship at the publications page.
In Helsinki my friends took me to a street dance festival and later I was invited to celebrate Juhannus (midsummer night) at the cottage of Maisa’s family.
