Photography

My camera is still a great friend, even though I am not a professional photographer anymore. Ever since I went back to bike travelling in 2005 (I had not been doing that for 15 years), travel photography arose naturally. It is part of the journey.

It takes time and dedication to get results which I  like – not just the shooting, also the postproduction. For example for the picture above I left my tent really early, then spend lots of time to edit. All is in service of inspiring viewers by transmitting my experience.

Below: a simple  edit example, done in Adobe’s Lightroom. A straight out of camera image cannot always capture the both refined and subjective observation of the eye. A few clicks can balance a picture a lot.
